Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
TheCoverVerse ("we," "us," "our," or "the Site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide, through our authentication provider (Supabase).
Usage data. We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to collect data about how visitors use the Site, including pages viewed, time on site, referral source, general device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you by name.
Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (keeping you signed in), analytics (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics), and remembering your preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may limit some site features, including staying signed in.
Bookshelf data. If you use the bookshelf feature, we store the editions you add, along with any privacy settings you choose for that shelf.
Gallery photos. If you upload a photo to the gallery feature, it is reviewed before it appears on the Site. Once approved, that photo is public and visible to all Site visitors. We strip metadata (including EXIF data such as GPS location) from uploaded photos before storage. Do not upload photos containing sensitive location details, other identifiable people without their consent, or anything you don't want publicly visible. If you delete a photo or your account, we will remove the photo from public display and delete it from storage within a reasonable period.
